Hey, I’m Ali!

Alexandra Thompson, LMSW, MSW, PN-1
(if you wanna be official)

It’s my life mission to help others harness the power of their minds and overcome their own obstacles

AFTER EARNING A FULL-RIDE GOLF SCHOLARSHIP AT WASHINGTON STATE, IT WOULD SEEM I HAD EVERYTHING GOING MY WAY, UNTIL A LIFE-THREATENING SKI ACCIDENT LEFT ME

with the inability to walk.

I had to make a choice:

give up, or get to work…

Let me tell you, there were times when I didn’t think I could do it. Giving up sometimes felt like the most viable option, but I made a different choice.

That was truly the moment that I realized the power that we have when we get the %^@* out of our own way…

Within a year.

I learned to walk again.

Not only did I make a
FULL RECOVERY…

I went on to qualify for the NCAA Golf Championships that same year, which granted me an opportunity to play golf professionally.

But I knew my life had a different purpose…

I walked away from a career in golf and instead:

I chose to pursue a career assisting and empowering individuals to heal from trauma.

Since beginning my work as a mental health clinician, I have acquired professional experience working with a variety of issues in behavioral health agencies, including facilitating adult and teen groups which focused on the development of emotional regulation skills, development of self concept, and processing traumatic memories. I am trained in EMDR and this is the primary psychotherapy I work from.

I have now taken my clinical experience on mindset and can apply these techniques to groups and teams in a workshop setting.

I strive to help individuals conquer their mindset limitations to live out a healthy lifestyle and maintain happy, productive teams!

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) within the State of Idaho. I received my Master's degree in Social Work at Northwest Nazarene University with clinical professional experience since 2017.

I have worked in clinical agencies since 2019 and have owned a thriving clinical practice since 2022.

I am also a Certified Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach. Nutrition plays a crucial role in the overall well-being and performance of my clients and athletes, which is why I obtained a nutrition certification to provide expert guidance and support in optimizing dietary habits.

I enjoy assisting athletes develop skills to manage anxiety associated with their individual sport in order to help them reach their peak performance. I was a Division I collegiate athlete and was a student of renowned sports psychologists and sports performance coaches.

I am also a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Coach, and I am passionate about healing the whole body and mind as well as educating my clients as to why nutrition is such a huge part of their success.

Clinical Counseling

My expertise lies in providing therapy for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and LGBT-related concerns. I offer specialized support utilizing techniques such as EMDR, catering to both adolescents and adults through individual and group therapy sessions.

When I'm not healing minds, I'm having ADVENTURES...

In my spare time, you can catch me hanging out with my girlfriend Kristen and my pup Winston doing pretty much anything outdoorsy and active!

I love CrossFit, skiing, golf, skydiving (I actually thought about being an instructor at one point), fishing, hiking, wake surfing, traveling…um, give me fresh ceviche in Tulum all day every day!

After everything I’ve been through, I can certainly say that I believe in living life to the max each and every day!
